"Grow old along with me..."

Reading: Ashbourne Hauntings (my novel re-draft)
Listening to: The Lumineers "Ho Hey"
Outside: Grey sky threatening rain

Well - as of Friday, 19th October, I am a married woman!

Yayyyyyyy!!!!!

And that explains the neglect I've shown this blog for the past couple weeks.

All apologies.

Karen and staff at the beautiful Cusworth Hall couldn't have done a better job with our ceremony, and the whole team at Thornhurst Manor gets our vote as wedding reception extraordinaires!

And I've come away with a beautiful ring that I will wear always, and more importantly, I've got my beloved best-friend-turned-husband, a man I am more than happy to grow old with.

It all reminds me of a sun dial we used to have in my backyard as a kid, which read:

"Grow old along with me, the best is yet to be."

A day to remember. Awwww.....

And so, this post is just to remind you, dear reader, that I am still out there, and still going for my goal of finding an agent. Even a wedding won't distract me for too long! (Although it was a very, very, very pleasant distraction!)

As of yesterday I finished my novel re-draft, printed it on my trusty printer named Stu, and I am now in the process of reading it through on paper one last time - snuggling up on the couch, not far from the fireplace, cup of coffee in my hand - imagining the (better, tighter) story as it slides past on the page. And hoping, always hoping.

Have a happy Sunday!

    1. Why thanks Lilly! I was soooooooooooo happy that day and still am, and if I ever happen to forget, I just look down at my left hand and I am reminded all over again!

Thank you for your good wishes. In the next couple of days I'll be sending my polished book out there once again into the vast sea of agents and see if anyone likes the hook. Fingers, toes, eyes, wires all duly crossed! x
